The day the alarm rings too early

This morning I woke up with the feeling of being happy… and I have no idea why.

No reason. No big news. No “finally, everything is perfect”...

I Woke Up Happy (And I Don’t Know Why)

This morning I woke up with the feeling of being happy… and I have no idea why.

No reason. No big news. No “finally, everything is perfect.”
Just a quiet, surprising happiness sitting in my chest like a small warm light.

My old version would wake up with a long list: today I have to…
She would open her eyes and immediately start running—through her head,

through her body, straight into the day.

She wouldn’t even notice the miracle: that she’s awake.
That she’s here. That life is more than proving yourself, carrying everyone’s weight,

and earning the right to rest.

But now… I wake up with a smile and no to-do list.
Not because I “finished it.”
Just… it isn’t there.

There’s no alarm in my head yelling go, go, go.
No pressure to be impressive.
No panic that I’m already behind.

There’s just this calm, strange feeling:

Everything is happening as it should.

Maybe that’s what healing looks like.
Not fireworks. Not a dramatic glow-up.
Just waking up and realizing you’re not at war with your own life anymore.

If you’re reading this and you don’t feel that yet—don’t judge yourself.
Some days you wake up heavy. Some days you wake up numb.

Some days you wake up and you can’t even explain what hurts.

But I want you to know something:

A morning like this exists.
A morning where the first thought isn’t fear.
Where you don’t have to earn peace.
Where you can simply arrive.

And if today isn’t that day for you, that’s okay.

Come exactly as you are.
The light doesn’t leave just because you’re tired.
You’re not late.
You’re just on your way back to yourself.

I’m home now.
